Woodhorn in the Community: From John Pitts, the MD

Gus Poyet has taken Brighton and Hove Albion into The Championship and the first game at the new Amex Stadium at Falmer is on the horizon. Even more exciting (!) is the fact that The Albion held the first session on our pitch at Woodhorn farm of what will now become the regular Woodhorn Saturday Morning Football Club.

A great turn out at the weekend saw over 20 children from the Oving, Tangmere and Aldingbourne areas having fun in the sun. Ability is irrelevant. The objective of the scheme is simply to give young people something to do, get them involved in sport and hopefully have some fun. The scheme will grow and young people of all ages, boys and girls, are welcome to just come along and join in. The next session is on Saturday 18th June at 9.30 am. Call Brighton’s Mark Pedrick 07725-915280 if you would like more information.

Working with Brighton’s “Albion in the Community”, the scheme is entirely funded by The Woodhorn Group and Earth Cycle and attendance is free!
